We partnered with Sony Music Australia and New Zealand to reimagine their website.

Creating a unified platform that connects artists, fans, and labels in one flexible experience. The goal was to design a system that celebrates individuality while bringing consistency across a diverse roster of artists and campaigns.

The result is a modular, mobile-first experience that empowers labels to launch content faster, showcase artists dynamically, and deliver a more immersive, connected journey for fans.

The Challenge

Sony Music Australia needed a digital experience that reflected its roster of world-class artists while also serving as a central hub for fans, labels, and partners.

The existing site was functional but fragmented. Artist content, merch, and label updates lived in separate silos, and the user experience felt disconnected from the brand’s creative energy.

Sony wanted a modern, mobile-first design system that could bring its ecosystem together, unifying content, creativity, and commerce in one high-performing experience.

Our Approach

Wonderful was engaged to lead the UX and UI design for Sony Music Australia’s new digital platform from research and architecture through to design delivery.

We worked with the Sony Music Australia and New Zealand digital teams to understand how fans discover, explore, and engage with artists across every touchpoint. Blending brand expression with performance thinking, we mapped the journeys of fans, artists, and partners to design a more connected experience.

The result was a modular UX architecture and flexible design system that unifies artist pages while preserving individuality, brought to life through motion, interaction, and a mobile-first approach that makes discovery fast and intuitive.
